Valentine’s Day Box - “Sweetie Pie’s Barkery”

As a dog mom of a Rottweiler mix, I’m often on the look out for toys that can withstand the test of Benji’s jaws! When it comes to bones or chew toys, I’m often worried about their safety. We decided to try out Super Chewer, a subscription box for dogs - specifically those with a powerful bite. You can use this link for an extra free month of boxes! With our first box, we got double the treats, and toys to review!

What’s in the box?

Toys

Each box comes with 2 tough toys, guaranteed fluff free. I really liked that each toy offered a different play option. For example, the power flower was a cutely shaped bone. There was a tug-of-war toy (Cinnamut Candy tug), and a toy specifically designed for shredding (Shred velvet cake.) With the shred velvet cake, the rubber toy within allows you to hide treats inside for further pet-enrichment. Benji’s favorite toy was the power flower (bone)!

2 Tough toys - fluff free

  • Power Flower

  • Shred Velvet Cake

  • Cinnamut Candy Tug

  • Oopsie Pie

Treats

Benji and I were both pleasantly surprised at the overall standard of the treats that came! These treats were made with real, quality ingredients - with a variety of flavors. The bags were fairly large, and would easily last us the month. (With the deal we signed up with, we got double the products, so Benji will be set for awhile!) Easily worth the value and convenience in our opinion.

2 Full Sized Bags of Treats

  • Soft Bakes - Turkey and Berry Recipe (4oz)

  • Jerky Bites - Pork + Bacon Recipe (4oz)

  • Jerky Bars - Turkey Recipe (4oz)

  • Jerky Bars - Beef Recipe (4oz)

2 Meaty Chews

  • Pur-Luv Pork Start stick

  • The Pet Gourmet Chew Stick: Beef Rosette

  • The Pet Gourmet Chew Stick: Pumpkin & Honey

Customizable:

Super Chewer boxes are customizable in a variety of ways. When you initially sign up, the box is tailored by the size of your dog, their dietary restrictions, and age. With each order, you can further customize by rating that month’s boxes overall toughness and the appropriateness of the size of the toys. There is an option to rate each item individually, and a place for comments at the bottom of the box.

One super cool aspect to Super Chewer is that they have a satisfaction guarantee. If their toys aren’t tough enough for your dog, they’ll replace it 100% free of charge. No proof required. No time limits. No questions asked.

There is also a chat function for you to speak with their team directly to solve any issues that you’re having with the boxes.

Value Analysis:

Depending on your subscription, boxes cost between $30-45 per month. While this is on the pricer side for a subscription box, the value is undoubtedly there. 2 full sized bags of treats, 2 chewies and 2 indestructible toys would easily run you well above $30-45 at any pet store.

Overall Rating:

For me, the best part of this box is watching Benji enjoy the new toys and treats. If there’s one he doesn’t particularly like, we plan to donate it to our local rescue so another dog can enjoy it. These boxes are well made, convenient and incredibly cute! With a new theme every month, I find myself looking forward to receiving the box as much as Benji does. Overall, we’d give Super Chewer a 4.5/5 wags. We took a half point off because you don’t get to choose which toys go into your box, and must rely on rating monthly to improve the accuracy of the box.
